Glen Cottage is a cosy, self-contained, one-bedroomed holiday let attached to our cottage in the hamlet of Westfield, near the bustling market town of Dereham in the heart of Norfolk. It was featured in a 2018 episode of Escape to the Country (filmed in July 2017, before we moved in).
Your accommodation is open plan downstairs with a fully-equipped kitchen, utility area (great for muddy boots!) and lounge. Upstairs is a cosy bedroom with two small steps down to the bathroom, with shower, WC and basin.
What goes on here ...?
We are surrounded by fabulous countryside with great walking and cycling right from your door, plus there's easy access to the coast, the Broads, Norwich and King's Lynn.
Thetford Forest, RSPB and nature reserves, National Trust and English Heritage properties are a short drive away and there are, of course, plenty of quaint Norfolk villages to discover.

The holiday cottage comfortably sleeps 2 people: there's a fabulous super kingsize bed (which can be split into 2 singles upon request) and we can also provide a comfortable camp bed in the living room to accommodate an extra guest if required. You'll have your own off-road car parking and outdoor seating area plus the use of our garden if you would like (we also have a lockable bike store if you want to bring bikes), free wifi and Freeview TV, DVD player and dishwasher. We also offer a free laundry service. Short breaks (minimum 3 nights) and Christmas/New Year bookings are also available and we also accept one well-behaved doggy guest!

Furry (and feathered!) Guests
Pets Need Holidays too!
Your pet is welcome at Glen Cottage (we have even had a parrot come to stay!) but it is important to note that our garden is not fully enclosed and therefore not totally dog-secure, plus we also have 3 cats and whilst they are fairly interested in our canine guests, they wouldn't take too kindly to being chased! However, dogs are welcome in our garden on a lead and in muddy weather we have a clean-up point you can use. There is also a strip of land right next to the holiday let where you can take your dog for his/her ablutions and there is a little area just outside your back door which is secure and where your dog can potter in and out in warm weather.
